Polymer-modified mortars are widely used for repair purposes because of their minimized shrinkage and ability to bond with the densest surfaces. It is used for repairing cracks and delamination of concrete structure and cracks. Polymer modified mortar is made with portland cement and aggregate combined at the time of mixing with organic polymers that are dispersed or re-dispersed in water. It is also been called polymer-portland cement-concrete (p p c c) . Polymer improves mortar’s quality and performance .it also decreases the chance of cracks. The mix proportions of most latex-modified mortars are in the range of the cement; fine aggregate ratio = 1:2 to 1:3 (by weight), the polymer-cement ratio 5 to 20% and the water-cement ratio of 30 to 60%, depending on their required work ability.0020. It improve tensile strength, flexural strength, impact and abrasion resistance, water resistance, and chemical resistance of polymer modified mortar in comparison to mortars without polymers.
Sacrificial anodes are used to protect metal structures from corroding. Sacrificial anodes work by oxidizing more quickly than the metal it is protecting, being consumed completely before the other metal reacts with the electrolytes. In sacrificial anodes the protected metal is placed on the cathode side and then a more reactive metal or alloy (having a larger potential difference than the protected metal) is chosen and connected to the protected metal as an anode. Sacrificial anodes are normally supplied with either lead wires or cast-m straps to facilitate their connection to the structure being protected. The lead wires may be attached to the structure by welding or mechanical connections.
Thixotropic polymer treatment is dual shrinkage compensated, trowelable fibre reinforced repair mortar. Thixotropic treatment is an effective method for repairs of damaged structural elements of concrete beams & columns where the damage is extensive and high strength is required for stability. The methodology of this treatment is as same as polymer modified mortar but with different material. The compressive strength which is received after doing thixotropic treatment is more than 45 n/mm2.
Epoxy mortar is a polymer-based bonding paste that comprises materials such as epoxy resins, solvent, binder, mineral fillers and some additives. The epoxy element is a two-component organic polymer that is blended with sand and, sometimes with coarse aggregate. Epoxy mortar with or without the aggregate will provide an impermeable environment and barrier that will protect reinforcing steel against corrosion. The certain measurements are dependent on the desired properties after curing. It is used as an adhesive and paste for structural repair. It can also be used to fill gaps, cracks and vents in driveways, patios and plazas. In setting tasks, it is used for tile installation where sealers are not required.
Epoxy mortar has many benefits and is used in an array of applications.
Grout is used as a filler for the joints between tiles once the tile you are installing has been set. Most grouts are a powdered mix of cement, lime, color pigment and sometimes sand that hardens when mixed with water and left to cure. It is important that you select the right grout for your application. This type of grout may be used inside or outside, on floors, walls and ceilings. It needs to be sealed to protect it from dirt, spills, and discoloration from wear and uv lighting. Various type of grouting we execute. We have a new technology and machineries for grouting.
